Interview

TTUM:

Thank you so much for the interview. Please introduce yourself and the members of Krig?

KRIG:

Line up:

Daniel Corpse - vocals ;

Isaque Soares - Guitar;

Jully Soares - Bass

and Vinicius Soares – Drums.

TTUM:

How the band was created?

KRIG:

Krig was formed in January 2007 in a city called Belo Horizonte (the same city where well known secular metal bands such as Sepultura and Sarcofago arose) initially as a project. Krigs lyrics deal with social, environmental, and Christian issues. Lead by Isaque Soares and myself, we have also recorded a few songs we invited Phillippe and Junior, they also joined the band. In November 2007 Krig released their debut album entitled "Feed Me", which won the top 10 album of the year at the web site Metal Blessing www.metalblessing.net. In February 2008 Jully joined the band as the bassist. In April 2008 Krig released their second album entitled "Stop the Manipulation", featuring Luke Renno from the USA band Crimson Thorn. In July 2008 Junior left the band then Vinicius Soares joined the band, Krig is currently working on new material and will release a new full album soon.

TTUM:

Why the name of Krig? What it means?

KRIG:

We decide to use the name Krig because we wanted a short name and one easy to remember, which was easy to for a fan to remember and make us distinguishable as well has being a name which is not an English name (LOL). Krig is a Norwegian word that means War, we like this name.

TTUM:

Besides this band, any other member have another musical project?

KRIG:

We all have been involved in previous bands before. I am the founder and ex-vocalist from Sabbatariam, the same is for Isaque who was the bassist for Sabbatariam, and Jully participates as guest female vocalist. Isaque and I were involved in other projects such as Mercy < www.mercy-music.tk > a unblack metal project and and Filthness of Flesh < www.myspace.com/foflesh > which was a progressive death metal band which is still an active project. Also, Isaque Soares < www.myspace.com/isaquesoares > has a side project which involves influences from jazz and local Brazilian music. Vinicius has played previously in a band called Norc.

TTUM:

What is the message that you want to bring with your music and lyrics?

KRIG:

The main message that Krig wants to bring is that we need to be more responsive with our neighbour, truly love him, and the band believes that people will change if they believe in the Only One that creates love, which is GOD. We need to have a closer relationship with God, because when we are so far from Him. Mankind is so vulnerable to sin, the result of sin is that we continue to make mistakes against ourselves and against our neighbour.

TTUM:

How many musical productions have the band?

KRIG:

A Full Length "Feed me" release in 2007 and a EP named "Stop the Manipulation" released in 2008.

TTUM:

How was received the new launch of your latest EP "Stop the Manipulation"?

KRIG:

The new EP has accepted very well for headbangers and specialized media, many people say good things about this EP.

TTUM:

Do you have plans of making a tour outside of South America? Specially visit Central American Lands?

KRIG:

Yes We Do, we want make a tour in South América, we already had a chance to perform some concerts in Bolivia and Paraguay but happen some external events which not permit us play there. There is a long way, but we're working so hard to get this objective.

TTUM:

What we can expect from Krig in the near future?

KRIG:

Currently we're working on new songs to our next album, we believe we'll release it in January 2009. There is a possibility to release a DVD late this year, we've recorded in a secular concert here in Brazil, so this DVD will contains a Live concert plus Backstage Sessions, Interviews, Video Clips, and some hand cam take from others concerts

TTUM:

Any final comments before say goodbye?
