I'm
Jeff Lenormand. I'm on guitar and also played bass on "Every
Knee Shall Bow." There's Berto Salas on vocals, and John Gotelli
on drums.

How
the band was created?
|
| TORTURED CONSCIENCE: |
I had always wanted to put together
a death metal band that had a Christian message. I originally hooked
up with a different drummer/vocalist, but when he left I asked John
if he'd fill in. I found Berto in an AOL chatroom and after talking
to him a bit I asked if he wanted to sing.

Why the name of Tortured Conscience? What it means?
|
| TORTURED CONSCIENCE: |
I actually came up with the name a long time ago because I thought
it sounded cool. Haha. But when the band started to come together
I thought the name was fitting. It gave an image of the Holy Spirit
convicting one's conscience.

What is the message that you want to bring with your lyrics and music?

| TORTURED CONSCIENCE:
|
The
subject matter varies from song to song. In "Modern Day Pharisees"
the message was against Shirley Phelps and the rest of her "God
Hates F*gs" ilk. "The Word Became Flesh" was a testimony
to the deity of Christ. "No Ambiguity" was a proclimation
that this band was never going to have flowery poetry or hidden
messages but was boldly going to proclaim the truth in its lyrics.

How much musical productions you have?

We
have a few demos floating around but nothing to write home about.
"Every Knee Shall Bow" is the only one I care about.

How
do you expect to be the launching of your new record?
|
| TORTURED CONSCIENCE: |
John and I are also in a secular band called Agenda
of Swine and we've been working on that, and considering I write
the majority of the songs in Tortured Conscience the process has
been slow. What I really need is a second guitarist who can help
me write. God willing.

Do you want to visit some day Central America and Latin
America?

| TORTURED CONSCIENCE:
|
I'm claustrophobic and afraid to fly so I'd have to be really really
drugged before hopping on the plane. Haha.
|

Besides Tortured Conscience, some members have other musical projects?

|
